Vote For Justin Hanson

Local Solutions, Not Party Politics

Campaign Hero

My Bio

Justin Hanson has been a proud resident of our community for over a decade, working as a designer serving local businesses and nonprofits. His design work has helped dozens of small businesses create their brand identity, from the downtown coffee shop's logo to the annual Harvest Festival promotional materials. Justin and his partner Alex live in the historic district with their two rescue dogs, and he's become known for his beautifully landscaped front yard that neighbors often stop to admire.

A graduate of Art Institute with a degree in Visual Communications, Justin has volunteered his design skills for various community causes, including creating signage for the farmers market and designing promotional materials for the library's reading programs. He currently serves on the Historic Preservation Commission and spearheaded the "Shop Local" campaign that increased downtown foot traffic by 30%. "Good design isn't just about making things look nice—it's about solving problems and bringing people together," Justin says. "That's exactly what we need on the town council."

My Key Issues

Electoral Reform

I support ranked choice voting because it ensures the candidate with the broadest community support wins, eliminates the fear of 'wasted votes,' and encourages candidates to appeal to all voters rather than just their base.

Education

I support after-school programs because they provide a safe, supervised environment for kids while parents are working, help close the achievement gap through tutoring and enrichment activities, and reduce juvenile crime by keeping young people engaged in positive activities during the critical hours between 3-6 PM.

Economic Development

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy because they create jobs for our neighbors, keep dollars circulating in our community, and give our town its unique character that big box stores and chains simply can't replicate.
